Volunteers needed

At Home-Start Mid & West Suffolk, we believe that children and families deserve the best possible start in life, to have choices and chances to live the best lives they can.

We currently need volunteers to assist our Family Coordinator Charlotte at our Bildeston and Wattisham Family Groups, which are run for children aged 0 – 5 years old, and their parents/carers. The Bildeston group runs on Tuesdays in the Sports Pavilion from 10am to 12pm, and the Wattisham group runs on Thursdays in Wattisham Community Centre between 1pm and 3pm.

Activities are currently taking place outdoors, and include toys, games, bug hunts, nature walks, chalk rubbings, football, hide and seek, colouring and much more. This is a great opportunity to support young families in your community, meet new people and gain new skills.

In order to register as a group volunteer with us, you will be required to have a criminal records check, participate in a half-day on-line training session (the next one is on Friday 9th July) and complete a short on-line safeguarding course.
