Bildeston Ladies Club

I was sorry not to be able to attend the first meeting after our summer break, but it goes to show that Covid is still a part of our lives that we will have to cope with for a while longer.
Angela from Able Community Care gave a talk about the provision of care since the late 1940’s and was able to answer a lot of queries to do with care for our own elderly relatives, or indeed the future needs which we ourselves might encounter. She left everyone with a “Goody Bag” to enjoy – rather like being at a party!!
In October, we will get down to some serious business. Firstly, we need to decide on our Charity Of The Year. I already have two proposals, but please let me know if you would like to put forward further suggestions.
On a much lighter note, I will have all the details of our Christmas celebration meal, to be held this year at The Bildeston Crown. Menus will be avalable for you to make your food choices and Marion will collect your payments – either in installments or complete, whatever you prefer.
I think this is one meeting not to be missed as our guest will be talking about her time as a Wimbledon Line judge – game, set and match !!
