The tennis courts in Bildeston date back to the late 80s and provide an excellent facility adjacent to the Pavilion at the Sportsfield. The 2 all weather, porous tar macadam courts, were completely re-surfaced in 2008 at a cost approaching £20K; the tennis club, through the Sportsfield Management Committee, were successful in raising all the funds from Awards for All (National Lottery), Suffolk Environmental Trust, Babergh DC and the Parish Council.
The tennis club is run by a committee on behalf of the Sportsfield Management Committee. At the end of 2009 there were 40 family memberships. The committee plans 2 or 3 Family Open Days per year as well as a club evening for teenagers and adults on Wednesdays from late April until late September. Individual and group coaching by an LTA qualified coach is available for adults and children/juniors.
Each  family or member who joins the club are given a key to access the courts; non-members are able to access the court by use of a key drawn from Bank House Stores for a nominal payment and key deposit.

The new season is starting and we would love some new members to join us!
