Bildeston Ladies Club

Now that we are into the New Year, how are your resolutions going? An easy one to try is to resolve to join a new group, make new friends and maybe learn something new – so why not come along and join us.

Our next meeting will be on February 4th for Roger Kennell’s talk entitled Our East Anglian Heritage – in bricks !!

Then, in March, under the guidance of our own experts, we will be making a floral arrangement for Eastertime.

For this meeting we will be asking you to bring some basic items with you, so please watch for the list of what is needed in next month’s Bugle, or give me a call nearer the time.

Last year our numbers rose to thirty and we saw the benefits of having some younger ladies in our midst! Please consider joining us. We meet once a month, usually on the first Thursday, at 7:45 p.m. in Chamberlin Hall. We are a friendly bunch, so feel free to just turn up, or give one of us a ring.

Below is a copy of the timetable of meetings planned for the year ahead

April 7th – Visit to see the Lambs at Chelsworth

  About Bildeston Ladies Club

Bildeston Ladies Club has been meeting in the Village since1972. It was formed by a group of young mums, some of whom still attend today. Originally it was called the New Design Club and met every fortnight. Nowadays meetings are held monthly in Chamberlin Hall with a mixture of activities, informative talks and social events. Like all amenities in rural areas the club is and asset that we would hate the village to lose and so we are hoping to encourage new members to come along and give us a try – it’s not just a club for the older village ladies and we would love to have more members of all ages.

Why not come along and give us a try. We meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at 7:45 p.m. and guests are always welcome at a charge of £3, whilst members pay a £5 annual membership fee and £2 a meeting.
