BILDESTON CARPET BOWLS CLUB WOOLVERSTONE WISH CHARITY FOURS. Saturday 18th October 9.30 am RAFFLE & TOMBOLA The Woolverstone Wish Fund has been created in order to raise money to refurbish the Chemotherapy outpatient clinics and day-unit in the Woolverstone Wing of Ipswich Hospital. The aim is to increase the available space, improve privacy for patients and provide a more comfortable treatment area. We have a goal of £800,000. Anyone who has visited Woolverstone Outpatients at Heath Road Hospital, Ipswich either to receive chemotherapy or to accompany a patient can not doubt the dedication of the staff. However, the cramped area leaves a lot to be desired. Well aware of this, and with no funds available for improvements, we are endeavoring to raise enough funds to remodel the Oncology department and update the environment. We hope to make the area as comfortable as possible and also address some of the pressing capacity issues. The target amount of £800,000 is our long term goal, but we hope to make small but significant improvements as the fund raising progresses.
The competition will be limited to 20 teams who will play a minimum of four games each in the round robin stage. Entry costs £32 per team and includes lunch. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and lunches will be available for non playing visitors (must be pre booked). Entries close the 30th of September or once the entries reach 20.
