DESCRIPTION:During the public session at the start of the Parish Council meeting. \nThe Quiet Lanes project promoted by Suffolk County Council requires Bildeston Parish Council to hold a public meeting before it makes a final decision on whether to go ahead with designating Consent Lane and Church Road as Quiet Lanes. \nQuiet Lane designation is primarily aimed at visitors to the village\, for example\, people driving to events at the Sports Field or delivery drivers\, rather than Bildeston residents who are familiar with the local lanes. \nThe Highway Code states that when you see a Quiet Lane sign ‘You should drive slowly and carefully and be prepared to stop to allow people extra time to make space for you to pass them in safety’. For more information see www.quietlanessuffolk.co.uk. \nWhether you are for or against Quiet Lanes we need you to tell us so the Parish Council can make an informed final decision.
