Chamberlin Hall is ideally situated close to the centre of Bildeston a rural Suffolk village in its own landscaped grounds with views to open countryside. The south elevation overlooks a patio complete with Picnic Benches, BBQ and the 6 rink county standard bowls green. There is also an enclosed Adventure Playground within the Hall grounds.

The Hall is well appointed and can cater for functions of all types.
The Hall has an On Premise License covering all entertainments and sale & consumption of alcohol. Many facilities include:-

  • Meeting Room – upto 50 persons.

 Main Hall

 Large reception foyer serves all areas.

 Large, spacious, and modern hall with sprung beech floor. (Ideal for dancing)
 Large stage with two changing rooms incl. Showers and toilets.
 The adjoining meeting room can be opened into Main Hall by sliding partition.
 The Bar and Kitchen have separate serving areas, which open, into Main Hall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for ‘in house catering’ and food preparation.

The equipment includes:

  • Double Oven and hobs
  • Large Refrigerator
  • Hot cabinet
  • Refrigerator
  • Microwave
  • Hot water urn
  • Cutlery and Steelite Bianco crockery for 144 persons (Hire charge)
  • Dayware crockery for 50 persons
  • Cooking pans and utensils (Hire charge)
  • Ample worktops and food preparation table.

 

 

 

Bar

The bar is fully stocked and is available at any function. Prior notice required.
The Hall has a Full Premise Licence and we operate the Bar and all profits are returned to Hall funds.
Our bar manager holds a Personal License and all our friendly staff are experienced.
We have a wide selection of wines and we can supply to suit your requirements.
Our bar prices are very competitive and are typically cheaper than public houses, clubs and bars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Balcony Room

This room is on the first floor and is accessed by stairs from the foyer. This part of the Hall is not licensed.
This room can be hired for specific purposes & is not included in hire of main hall, for general access.
Ideal for meetings and small groups.
There is a viewing window into the main hall and this can be used to project films onto the stage area.
The sound and stage lighting controls are located here. The sound & lighting systems are operated via permanent wired links and can be hired with operator.
We do not permit self-control of this equipment.

Meeting Room

Meeting Room can be hired separately or as part of Main Hall. Meeting Room is separated from Main Hall by acoustic sliding partition wall panels. Access from Foyer or Main Hall


Snooker Room

  • Full size snooker table.
  • Equipment – snooker & billards, cues, rests, scoreboard
  • Coin operated lights. – 50 pence.
  • Fully carpeted room. 

The snooker room is generally available for snooker to club members only.

We will consider snooker room hire for snooker playing, as part of Hall hire, but prior arrangements must be made as strict rules apply.

Membership £12 per year.

 

 

 

 


Tariff / Bookings

We cater for various events and functions. The Hall is available for hire to individuals, Clubs and Companies. The entire facility or smaller rooms are available to suit your requirements.

We are able to offer a Fully Licensed Bar and catering. You may use the kitchen facilities to cater for yourself or we can recommend high quality local caterers.

Please contact Booking Manager for further details. All Hirers are required to pay in advance of event and to abide by Chamberlin Hall Standard Conditions and Special Conditions (Premise License) of Hire Agreement.
